2021 Annual Fundraiser

WOMEN’SGIFT raised funds for CAHOOTS
Crisis Assistance Helping Out On The Streets

This year we far exceeded our fundraising goal! We started with the goal of $12,000. We thought, 'let's go big!' -- and big we went. We completed our fundraiser and gifted CAHOOTS $30,500!

When CAHOOTS is notified by police dispatch, a medic and a crisis worker, trained in the mental health field, respond to situations of suicide threats, substance abuse, and conflict resolution, 24/7.

CAHOOTS has been an integral part of reimagining public safety without the use of weapons since 1989 and has saved the Eugene-Springfield community an estimated $8.5 million in public safety annually.

“Americans struggling with mental illness don’t always require law enforcement to be dispatched when they are experiencing a crisis – CAHOOTS is proof positive there is another way.”

— Senator Ron Wyden, an ardent supporter of CAHOOTS
